Given the international Public Health Emergency situation declared by the World Health Organization on January 30th, as well as the classification of COVID-19 as a pandemic on March 11 and the decree of State of Emergency by the President of the Portuguese Republic on March 18th, Escola de Línguas das Sardinhas hereby informs that the facilities where traditional classes were held are closed until futher notice.

To ensure our commitments, the School has replaced all private and group classes for digital online format via Skype. We wish to continue offering a relaxed environment with resources to various digital media in order to offer a comfortable teaching environment to learn Portuguese.

We appeal to all sardines, do not school, stay at home! Comply with the guidelines of the authorities. Soon we will all be back together and schooling!

We are a language school in Baixa, Lisbon's historical center, in Portugal. Escola de Línguas das Sardinhas is dedicated to teach Portuguese as a foreign language. We believe that learning Portuguese can be achieved most successfully in a relaxed environment, where everyone gets to know each other. To contribute to a pleasant, communicative and relaxed environment, we provide free tea and coffee for all.

At Escola de Línguas das Sardinhas you can choose between private lessons and group classes. The content of our Portuguese courses is tailored to you and is as close to one-on-one training as you can get in a group setting. We deliver results based on your goals and provide you with a memorable experience and clear outcomes.

Extensive or Intensive Classes Online

Private Lessons

One-to-one or Two-to-one Portuguese classes available. We also offer lessons via Skype with a qualified teacher. Your language course will be customized by your teacher based upon a discussion of your goals.

Group Classes

You can choose between intensive courses, with classes from Monday until Friday, or extensive courses, with classes two or three days a week. The maximum number of students per class is restricted to 5 people.
